New Orleans wedding

I went to the wedding of my best friend from high school this past weekend. New Orleans was a lot of fun; I had been there for the first time with the same getting-married friend when we were 14 and 15 or so. We thought we were so cultured... when the room service guy came to our hotel room, one of us cooed from the other room "might you have a quarter, darling?" Doesn't quite come across the same way without the lilt in the voice.   The last time I was in the city was several years ago, and I managed to come down with the flu about the time my airplane landed... and then I thanked my hostess by giving her the flu after I left.  So, it had been a long time since I'd seen the city.  We had a lovely time taking a carriage ride in the French Quarter (I look a little too excited about those beignets in that picture), and took a stroll through the Garden district... all very touristy, but it was refreshing to have a touristy weekend... and then the wedding was very beautiful, with a full Catholic mass.  That's her brother that she's dancing with, btw.
